Plantar Fasciitis

The bottom of the foot forms an arch that acts as a shock absorber and a spring while walking. The arch is supported by small muscles, ligaments, and soft tissues that make up the plantar fascia, which acts almost like a bowstring holding the arch of a bow.

People that spend a lot of time on their feet, or walking/running, can experience foot pain that comes from tightness or inflammation of the plantar fascia and calf muscle. This is a painful condition called plantar fasciitis.

At Gemini Chiropractic and Rehab, we have conservative chiropractic treatments available that are very effective at reducing the inflammation and tightness in the feet that are caused by plantar fasciitis.
