Headaches

Did you know that most headaches actually start because of muscle tightness in the neck. The majority of headaches are “Cervicogenic”, meaning they begin in the neck. Sometimes there is neck pain associated with these cervicogenic headaches, and sometimes there is not. Muscles that are tightened in the neck due to spasm pull on the base of the skull and the small thin muscles that surround the skull. This leads to a tension headache.

At Gemini Chiropractic and Rehab, we excel at decreasing the inflammation and spasm from those neck muscles, which releases the tension, and gets rid of the headache and any associated neck pain.

We also focus on increasing the motion in the neck in order to decrease the likelihood of those muscles spasming again and creating another headache in the future.
